Murrieta Fire & Rescue (MFR) is proud to host its annual Firefighters’ Barbeque on Saturday, April 17, 2027, at Murrieta’s Town Square Park. In celebration of MFR’s landmark 80th anniversary, this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever, featuring live music at the Town Square Park Amphitheater and exciting activities throughout the day.
The Murrieta Firefighters’ Barbeque stands as one of Riverside County’s longest-running community traditions, with the very first barbecue held back in 1948.
The Main Event: A mouth-watering, signature smoked tri-tip lunch.
Entertainment: Live music, a dedicated DJ, and a vibrant beer and wine garden.
Activities: A competitive bag-toss (cornhole) tournament and a diverse vendors' market.
The Muster Competition: Cheer on fire explorers from all over Southern California as they compete in the annual Fire Explorers "Muster" Competition.
This day of food, fun, and entertainment is a fantastic opportunity for the community to show its support for the dedicated public safety personnel serving at MFR. It is also MFR’s way of saying a heartfelt thank you to the community it has proudly served for the past 80 years.
Admission to the event is free and open to the public, with a nominal fee for the barbecue lunch.
